LOAD TEST CD-RESP/R

                      COMPACT DISC PLAYER TEST PROCEDURE/R

     Connect the CD player left and right outputs to the analyzer/R
     Channel A and B inputs./R

     Load a test disk and select a 1 kHz full scale (0 dB) test/R
     track.  Start the CD player in PLAY mode.  When the track/R
     is playing, press <Enter> to calibrate the system for a/R
     frequency response test./E

                       STEREO FREQUENCY RESPONSE TEST/R

     Select a track on the test disc which is a continuous full-amplitude/R
     (0 dB) frequency sweep beginning at 20 Hz or below and continuing to/R
     20 kHz.  Start the player in PLAY mode and press <Enter> for a stereo/R
     frequency response test./R

     If the test disc does not contain a continuous sweep, but only discrete/R
     signals, select the lowest frequency of such a series of tracks, start/R
     the CD player in PLAY mode, and press <Enter>.  Then, each time the/R
     computer "beeps" to signify that it has acquired the data point, advance/R
     the CD player to the next-higher-frequency track./R

     After viewing the graph, press <Enter> to continue to the distortion/R
